I love how this shows Steven escaped his corrupted form not through anger or conflict But through acceptance and love, he couldn't beat Corrupted Steven, it was impossible to beat himself So he chose to work alongside it, you can't fix or heal trauma by ignoring and fighting it You fix and heal it, but working through it, by working with it, and letting it guide you into adapting for the future ahead instead of trapping you in the past

For those of you that are confused why steven reacted like that whenever the mug was stepped on and breaked. Steven was in a loud and stressful place. I have terrible stress and anger management issues and this is the icing to the cake for an outburst. Luckily Steven managed to let himself out, slightly calming down. Connie goes out which makes Steven suprised, making him drop his mug. *Oh great, another mistake I make.* this increases his stress. Also the mug shattering gave him a ptsd trigger of shattering jasper. Steven tries to go away again, Connie has other ideas and makes the mug shatter more, the sound is another trigger and he pushes Connie as an outburst. Steven cant believe himself *I pushed Connie, she doesnt deserve me!* He jumps in a way to escape, hes stressed so he isnt thinking. Again I know what this feels like. Steven is growing, but not in the way we know normally. Look at that! A familar face.
